Street Signs are images from Jim Alexander's on-going photo documentary project, "Spirits/Martyrs/Heroes," which he started in 1968 following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Alexander's photographs convey the dignity of struggle shared by all: politicians, celebrities, business professionals, students and everyday women, men and children.
Celebrate the Peace Period with Jim Alexander and the AFSC Georgia Peace Center at the Street Signs exhibit and panel discussions. Panels will be monthly through April.
The exhibit opens January 14, 2012 at 7pm. There will be an artist talk with Jim Alexander at 8pm.
