“AMAZING GRACE” is a visual art exhibition of paintings, graphics, sculpture, photography and mixed media art.  The showcase features artworks by artists of African descent located in the New York metropolitan area.  These artists have fused technical, cultural and spiritual elements together to share visions and to tell their stories.  Although their icons and encoding may differ, the images are united in reflecting visions of beauty and harmony.  The artists speak of ancestors, the splendor of nature, places visited and the cohesiveness of color & form.  The images are diverse.  However, there is a recurring theme or feeling of peace & love.  The artists presented here are also eyewitnesses to and give evidence about events and conditions in our lives.  Some of the stories the artists tell are as old as love, itself, but new tools and new observers compose a fresh contemporary visual melody.  “AMAZING GRACE” may be abstract art or realistic in form.  Nevertheless, it is truly cohesive in quality and unified in an African spirit.
