Varnette P. Honeywood - Current Exhibition at Watts Towers

Varnette Honeywood transitioned September 12th in Los Angeles. Her final exhibition is still up at the Watts Towers Art Center until January 2011, co-curated by Rosie Lee Hooks and myself CCH Pounder. Her passing should not go unheralded.

I am refocusing on rural communities and spending a lot of time in the country. Here's a link for the current exhibition http://www.mmcc-arts.org/CalendarPages/july.shtml#mapping . I'm not sure if Louis is still at Studioplex but he has done some amazing work over the last few years. A huge mural at the King Center, one at Southwest Arts Center and he just finished a show at Hammonds House. I see him from time to time. He is on this site. I don't remember the photographs. Were they mine?
Thanks for showing the work of Ms. Honeywood. I was so saddened by her passing even though I did not know her. Glad to know that you continue to be active in the visual arts. I'll keep in touch. Hugs.
