I have always had an interest in art, but after retiring from a career as an engineer two years ago, I began to seriously study and collect African-American art. I enjoy meeting artists, collectors and art professionals in my quest to learn about and enjoy African-American art. Some of the many artists I like are Henry O.Tanner, Radcliffe Bailey, Kevin Cole, Romare Bearden, Samella Lewis, Hale Woodruff, and Lonnie Holley.

Please join us in celebrating the opening of exciting new show Lanre Buraimoh - Luminous Color of Glass Beads, at Wasagaming Community Arts (110 Wasagaming Dr.Wasagaming Manitoba R0J 2H0 Canada) Friday July 15 at 8pm.
Nigerian artist currently residing in Houston, Lanre Buraimoh, will be showing his beaded paintings, a real exciting treat for the gallery. Beadwork is traditionally used in many Nigerian art forms and Buraimoh has adopted this tradition in his contemporary work.
His work can be viewed at
