Profile Information

        Passionate, bold and intense. These are the words frequently used when describing the works of Dantrel Bonae. A product of the John Biggers School of Art at Texas Southern University, Dantrel uses subtle imagery to express his views on the social and political ills of the world. Dantrel is proficient in Acrylics, Oils, and Clay sculpting, but his passion lies in the mediums of Charcoal and Graphite.                  In 2009, Dantrel was commissioned by the Texas Institute for the Preservation of History and culture to create 10 pieces for their Junteenth PBS special entitled, "Juneteenth, a Celebration of Freedom. His creative inspiration lies in the works Charles W. White, Dr. John Biggers and Diego Rivera.
