born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Cochran received degrees from the University of GA [BFA]; and the School of the Art institute, Chicago, IL [MFA ]
Artist Statement
The focus of my career has been grounded in collaborative projects stimulate creative dialogue. Themes have addressed issues ranging from social justice to cultural memory.
Research Interests:
visual literacy, conflict resolution, interdisciplinary intersections with the visual arts
