ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nijel Binns is a sculptor and painter in th realist tradition.  His portraits and monuments are noted for their ability to capture and evoke the inner spirit of the subject.  For this reason, Nijel's portrait sculptures are sought after by major celebrity clients and collectors.  The range of Nijel's sculptural works vary in medium from plaster, resin and bronze and in size from 2 inches to 16 feet.  Nijel's most iconic work is the 16 foot tall bronze "Mother of Humanity" monument which was unveiled in Watts,CA in 1996.  It is a tribute to women and mothers of the world.
