Hello!  I see you are in the DMV area and I want as many artists to know about what we are doing as possible.  Please try to come and share with fellow artists of all types.  Be encouraged and thanks in advance:

Community of Artists * Call-to-Action *
Talking across walls: artists of color convene, engage, and inspire. Please join us Monday, March 24th at Martin Luther King library, 901 G Street, NW,  6:00 pm (room A5) for a ‘Community of Artists’ forum. Admission is Free and seating is first come-first served.  Varied Artists of Color discuss becoming self-producing; what does Artist development entail? How to create your own artistic platforms instead of waiting for the producer's call.

Panelists include:

Award winning actress, E. Faye Butler

Award winning & renowned musician/choreographer, Melvin Deal

Television & Stage actors, Gwendolyn Briley Strand and Kevin Jiggetts,

Noted Visual Artist, Joyce Wellman and Tendani Mpulubusi El

Also, panelists discuss what's involved in grant submissions; how grants are reviewed and scored--optimizing grant awards.

Attending artists and organizations are invited to bring brochures and project related material to disburse via stationed table.

Share your insights, say it loud; galvanize!
