ARTIST’S BIOGRAPHY

ARTIST’S BIOGRAPHY
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. Albert Einstein
You are not the momentary whim of a careless creator experimenting in the laboratory of life. . . You were made with a purpose. Og Mandino
Willie Earl Robinson, born November 30, 1950, in Yazoo city, Mississippi, but grew up in Jonestown, Mississippi. As far back as I can remember I’ve had a fascination with Visual art, even at the age of two or three years old. During my years in middle school I cut my teeth on drawing the marvel comic book characters. After I dropped out of school I was drafted into the military. Leaving the military I moved into the Robert Taylor Housing Project on Chicago’s south side .on December 24th 1972 I was shot in the left eye with a 38 special, in an attempt to protect another person .the bullet missed by a fraction of an inch the part of the brain that governs the breathing and heart beat. {How many can sustain a 38 caliber gun shot wound in eye and live to talk about it rationally? That’s a miracle. I was left partially paralyzed on my left side, now I was left with no other alternative but to paint on the walls of that apartment .It was during this time that I discovered my Purpose in life, and my gift as an artist. I painted on every wall in that apartment, and when I ran out of wall space, I white walled and Continued painting.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

"Gifted and endowed by God, coupled with hard work, brought me to where I am as an artist. Art illuminates my world. My artistic vision is to create images that reveal the beauty within and beyond myself. What I feel, see, and hear, somehow come together in a multidimensional way. I love the creative ability that God has given me, and I give Him all the glory. I feel most alive when I paint. All of my senses are engaged, and I respond to, and I feel moved by, and into something larger than myself .I received no academic training in art, therefore I take the creative approach exclusively, which results in a vital individualistic style of expression."

A warning to the body of Christ Part 2

As Christians we have to be careful not to stir up dissension (conflict) between our brethrens (Proverbs 6: 19). It’s easy to feel that when we voice our opinion on something and feel real strong about it that no other opinion matter, and it’s okay to feel you have a right to say what we want or do what we want (but) when you are in a unit (group) you become one. Amos 3:3 says do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so? The power of “One Accord” involves the supernatural works that God demonstrated through believers who are united. It takes one person to destroy that “One Accord” power; evidence of that was recorded in Joshua 7 where Achan, secretly stole certain items from Jericho and the power of God left Israel until that man and his family were removed from the congregation and again in Acts 5:12-14 based on this information God has a low tolerance for backbiting, gossiping, fault finding and sewing of discord among the members of the body of Christ. The showing of One Accord at Pentecost (Act 2) was done so the world may be convinced that there is a living, loving God who wants all to have eternal life that believe in him. Jesus said “The glory you gave me I have given it to them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and has loved them that love me” (John 17:22-23). So I end today’s message with Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since we are members of one body you were called to peace. Remember iron does sharpen iron but in a good way...Amen Love Bertha a CCF member and proud of it.
