Presenter: John Martin, Fine Art Dealer, Fine Art dealer, Art Estate consultant.
- Why is it important to have art pieces appraised?
Regular appraisals are needed to substantiate a work of art's financial value for resale and insurance.
Presenter: Diane Dinkins Carr, President of DDC Consultants, Certified Art Appraiser and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Appraiser.
- Why should art pieces be insured?
Home insurance or supplemental insurance specifically protects art from loss, damage or theft. Before or soon after an art piece is purchased, one should research terms of existing policy.
